Gmail 'Nudges' now available on Android as well

Image
Google recently added a new feature - dubbed Nudges - to Gmail. It reminds you to reply to emails you may have missed and follow up on emails for which you haven't received a response. You'll see a new 'Nudges' option in the menu under your email address. Tap on the 'Reply and follow up' sub-option to select the type of nudge you want to enable. It seems to be a server side switch as the option has popped up in the existing Gmail for Android... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/2ISqYYT via IFTTT

Oppo Realme1 in for review

Image
The other day Oppo unveiled its Realme sub brand with one clear intent - challenging Xiaomi for India's online retail market. That's no easy task, mind you and one that can't be achieved with a single phone. But it's very important for that first phone to make sure the brand gets off on the right foot. That phone is the Oppo Realme1 and it will aim to deliver even batter value for money than the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. As luck would have it, the Oppo Realme1 just landed in our office and we'll soon know if it has what it takes to succeed. But until the review is complete... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/2rRTNu8 via IFTTT

Nokia X6 to go global after all

Image
HMD didn't say anything about global availability at Nokia X6's official unveiling. Shortly after that, a new variant of the device was spotted, triggering speculations that it's the global model. Those speculations were shot down by the company after it officially confirmed the X6 is a China exclusive, and there are currently no plans to bring it out any other country. However now, it seems HMD is going through a change of heart, as the company is now asking the general public whether or not the device should be launched globally. Samsung wants you to upgrade to a Galaxy S9 from your lagging iPhone

Image
What do you do if your iPhone 6 just can't handle the day-to-day stuff you throw at it anymore? Well, Samsung thinks it's time to upgrade to a Galaxy S9 or S9+. It's driving this point through in a new video ad released today. Have a look: Where even to start on how ironic the whole thing is? There's the fact that Samsung is making fun of Apple for pushing people to upgrade to a newer phone, while doing exactly the same thing itself. That's the point of this ad, after all. Then there's the fact that the iPhone is slow and "lagging" (that's the word used in the video description).... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/2Gti4vC via IFTTT

Xiaomi to celebrate its 8th birthday with Anniversary phone

Image
Has it really been 8 years? Xiaomi was founded in 2010 and has become one of the leading smartphone makers since then. To mark the occasion, the company may be preparing a Xiaomi Mi 8 Anniversary edition phone. This hasn't been confirmed officially, but a few tantalizing images have started circulating on Weibo. There's the giant eight, allegedly a teaser for a Snapdragon 845-powered phone with an under display fingerprint reader and 3D face scanning. The image on the right seems to announce that some lucky fans will win one of 100 Mi 8 phones. Image
Huawei has burned through its initial stock of Honor 10 units in Europe on its launch day. The Honor 10 took just six hours to sell out in Spain while the Phantom Blue Honor 10 sold out within the day in France. Huawei doesn't specify how many Honor 10 units it has sold in Europe but has shared that some 80,000 European social media subscribers have taken advantage of a €30 discount coupon. The success of the Honor 10 isn't really surprising. The phone is a looker - as we noted in our hands-on - and offers great specs for a quite reasonable €400 price tag. from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/2IoZ6we via IFTTT
