The suicide rate among US teenage boys rose the month after the release of 13 Reasons Why, a show which focused on an adolescent girl who ended her own life, a new study claims.Researchers examined the number of suicides in children aged 10 to 17-years-old, from January 2013 to December 2017.The show was released in March 2017.In April 2017 the suicide rate was 0.57 per 100,000 people, which was nearly 30 per cent higher than in the preceding five years examined in the study.
