Trump complains about ‘wet and sloppy’ Kentucky Derby and blames result on ‘political correctness’Donald Trump has lambasted the Kentucky Derby after a horse who finished first at the popular race had his title stripped, blaming the overturn on an era of “political correctness.” The president began his Sunday morning on Twitter with an angry tweet about the horse race that took place the night before, in which officials disqualified the first-place victor, named Maximum Security, for impeding the path of other horses. The runner-up, named Country Horse, then became the winner of the night. “The Kentuky Derby decision was not a good one,” Mr Trump lamented. “It was a rough and tumble race on a wet and sloppy track, actually, a beautiful thing to watch.”“Only in these days of political correctness could such an overturn occur,” he continued. “The best horse did NOT win the Kentucky Derby - not even close!”More follows…
