Gaming phones have recently made themselves a niche with the Razer Phone being the first gamer-oriented smartphone. Since then, there have been at least three more gamer-centric phones: the Xiaomi Black Shark, the Asus ROG phone, and the Nubia Red Magic, just to name a few. Honor decided to take on these gaming phones by releasing a similar kind of device: the Honor Play. Honor packed Huawei's Kirin 970 CPU along with Huawei's GPU Turbo (which reallocates computing resources on the software level) for improving gaming and graphics performance.
