Panasonic announces GH5s mirrorless camera for $2499

Panasonic has launched the GH5s, an even more video-focused version of the popular and already video-friendly GH5. The new camera comes with a bunch of changes, most of which are under the hood. For starters, the GH5s has a new 12.5MP sensor with 10.2MP usable resolution. The extra pixels allow the camera to maintain its diagonal field of view when switching between aspect ratios such as 4:3, 17:9, 16:9 and 3:2. More importantly, the new sensor is optimized for low light sensitivity, a bit like the Sony A7S II, and now supports shooting up to ISO 51,200 without extended ISO. The...
