After Apple dropped the prices of the 2018 iPhones with CNY500, OnePlus followed suit and now the 6T is down CNY400 and now its price is just CNY2,999 or under $450. Currently the OnePlus 6T is offered in four colors - Midnight Black, Mirror Black, Thunder Purple, and Speed Orange, but only the first two got their prices slashed. Top 10 trending phones of week 14

Image
Samsung's grip on our top 10 most popular phones has been easing off for the past two weeks, but the company still accounts for four phones on the list, which is the most by a single vendor. The Galaxy A50 retains the leader's position for the third week in a row followed the Huawei P30 Pro. The Redmi Note 7 moved up a slot to complete the podium, edging out the Samsung Galaxy A70. This week's new entrant - the Nokia X71 jumped straight into number five while another new name on the list - the Huawei P30 lite sits in eight. Between those, the Redmi Note 7 Pro and regular P30 slid... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles http://bit.ly/2U1Nikv via IFTTT

Week 14 in review: First Nokia with punch hole screen, Oppo Reno, Galaxy A90

Image
It's been another busy week full of phone news so let's take a look back at the clutter and focus on the major stories. Samsung was in the spotlight with a couple of interesting relevations. The biggest was a video of Samsung's alleged first slider phone, the Galaxy A90. It has a slide-out rotating camera that's used both as the rear and the selfie camera. Additionally, a story broke that Samsung is working on two Galaxy Note 10 devices for the fall - one with a 6.4-inch display (same size as the Galaxy Note 9) and one with a larger 6.7-inch display. Next is an interesting report... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles http://bit.ly/2Kdx1co via IFTTT

Huawei P30 in for review

Image
Huawei had a fabulous event in Paris where the star of the show was the Huawei P30 Pro with plenty of hybrid zoom and other nice features. The vanilla Huawei P30 got some of the spotlight, but its onstage time was rather limited. The phone that some might deter from calling a flagship, actually has plenty of things going for it, especially with its much more aggressive price of €749. The Huawei P30 comes with a 6.1" screen, and you might expect a rather compact device by today's standards. However, due to the chiselled sides, flat panel and thicker bezels in comparison to the Pro,... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles http://bit.ly/2KjeA6a via IFTTT

Weekly poll: is the Nokia X71 (8.1 Plus) great value for money?

Image
The Nokia X71 was unveiled in China this week and will most likely be available as the Nokia 8.1 Plus globally. It's HMD's first phone with a punch hole selfie camera and its first with a triple camera. Sure, the Nokia 9 PureView has five cameras, but they all have the same focal length so they're used almost exclusively for computational photography. They don't support ultra-wide or telephoto shots natively. This is what makes the X71 interesting - with a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide module and a depth sensor, this could be the Nokia with the most versatile camera setup yet. The... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles http://bit.ly/2U1VXDp via IFTTT

Apple Watch saves a man's life

Image
Someone posted in the /r/Apple subreddit an interesting story how his Apple Watch saved his life. It appears that the hear rate notification warned him right before things went "nuts". I was laying in bed, enjoying some TV and homemade brisket, when my Apple Watch told me that my heart rate was weird af, and then, told me my heart rate was stupid fast (thank you heart rate alerts) Called ER, when they arrived, they found me in serious trouble. Body went into shock, got rushed to the hospital in a stretcher, and got taken into trauma. I felt totally fine before everything happened,... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles http://bit.ly/2G5jzmO via IFTTT

Sanctions delay plans for N. Korean beach resort: analysts

Image
North Korea has again pushed back the construction end-date of a massive beach resort -- a move analysts say shows the regime is struggling from international sanctions imposed over its nuclear weapons programmes. The eastern seaside strip, known as the Wonsan-Kalma Coastal Tourist Area, is intended as a centrepiece of the isolated country's nascent tourism industry as Pyongyang seeks to develop its economy despite the tough economic measures. The site's construction has been closely overseen by leader Kim Jong Un, and was initially scheduled to open this April, to mark the birthday anniversary of the country's founder Kim Il Sung. from Yahoo News - Latest News & Headlines https://yhoo.it/2YUMTDZ via Latest News

Britain's courts are open to abuse by wealthy men, says woman sued for Facebook defamation

Image
When Nicola Coates was pushed against a sofa by her husband who put his hands on her throat and "tried to strangle" her she thought it would be one of the most terrifying experiences of her life. In fact, those fleeting moments in which she feared that she might die were just the beginning of a much bigger ordeal. Her description of the attack on Facebook, written in the heat of the moment as she struggled to come to terms with spending Christmas apart from her son, was later dissected word for word by a judge who admitted that he didn’t understand social media. Using a Victorian law the comment was defined by the Oxford English Dictionary and it was ruled on that basis she had defamed her husband by implying that he was trying to kill her. Now, just days after that decision was overturned by the highest court in the land, she has spoken in detail about her experience for the first time. Miss Coates, who was named in court papers as Stocker but has now reverted to her maiden

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Take $39,000 Babymoon

Image
CHRIS JACKSONAnyone who has ever employed a contractor will sympathize with the plight Prince Harry and Meghan Markle found themselves in as they waited desperately for their new home at Frogmore Cottage to be finished ahead of the birth of their baby. But overruns (caused in part by the couple changing their minds) kept pushing back their move-in date. Not everyone, however, would have been in a position to ameliorate the tension by whisking their wife off for three days to a luxury hotel costing $13,000 per night while the last bits of snagging were taken care of.However, that’s what Harry did this week, according to a report in The Sun, booking a $39,000 babymoon at the five-star Heckfield Place hotel in Hampshire. The Sun says they spent their three nights at the hotel, largely tucked away in their suite, which boasts its own dining room and two private terraces, enjoying cozy fireside meals.A friend told The Sun: “Meghan is only a couple of weeks away from giving birth, so Harry rea
