Samsung aims to ship 43 million Galaxy S9 and S9+ units this year

Samsung has reaffirmed its belief that the Galaxy S9 duo will outperform the S8 phones by announcing its plans to ship 43 million units this year - that's for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ combined. Korean publication The Bell reports that Samsung has given this target to its component suppliers. For the first quarter, Samsung expects 12 million units to leave the factories, then 13 million, then 10 million and finally, 8 million in the last three months of 2018. Xiaomi Mi 7 takes the Geekbench test, matches other Snapdragon 845 phones

The Xiaomi Mi 7 (aka Dipper) is still roaming the wild benchmark fields - the latest sighting provides us with a Geekbench 4.1 score from the Snapdragon 845-powered phone. The unit had 6GB of RAM while a previous leak showed 8GB, which suggests there will be two memory tiers (the Mi 6 was available with 4GB and 6GB RAM). Both the single and multi-core scores are in line with what we've seen of Snapdragon 845 chipsets.
