Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus in for review

Image
Sony introduced the Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus at MWC 2019. The new midrangers are descendants of the Xperia XA series and are commemorating ten years since the whole Xperia smartphone lineup was started. The two phones are now in our hands, and we've already started putting them through all our extensive tests. The Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus look similar with their super long screens, or CinemaWide as Sony refers to the 21:9 panels. Even if the phones are tall and feel unusual in hand, they are reasonably easy to handle. The Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus are thin and relatively... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/2HnBXbv via IFTTT

Oppo F11 Pro in for review

Image
Oppo recently announced two smartphones with availability originating in India. The F11 and F11 Pro were heavily teased prior to their launch event. Samsung to offer an official leather case for the Galaxy Fold

Image
Foldable phones raise a lot of questions, chief among them being how do you protect one. You obviously can't install a tempered glass protector on a foldable phone but you might be able to put it in a case. When it comes to the Samsung Galaxy Fold we've seen early renders of Spigen cases and now we learn Samsung will make its own leather case for the Galaxy Fold. It's not clear what a Samsung-made leather case for the Galaxy Fold will look like (image below is just our mockup) but it makes sense to use a flexible material such as leather. The case likely won't come cheap either... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/2C5njT1 via IFTTT

Nokia will cut fewer jobs than expected in Finland

Image
Earlier this year Nokia announced plans to cut 1,330 jobs in Europe in a bid to save €700 million until 2020. Nokia's operations in Finland were set to lose 350 employees, however after some negotiations that number was reduced to 280. Nokia currently employs some 6,300 people in its home country. The company also plans to lay off around 530 workers in Germany (where it employs 3,500) and 460 in France (out of 4,000). A glimpse inside Nokia's production facility at Oulu Among all that downsizing, the Oulu facility will be spared.
