New case leak confirms 6.1-inch iPhone will have a single camera

Image
It's been heavily suggested by analysts, accessory leaks and supply chain rumors that Apple will release three new iPhones in 2018 - an iPhone X refresh, a flagship 6.5-inch iPhone and the entry-level 6.1-incher with an LCD. We've heard and seen the most of the last one and we now have another bit to add to it. Rumor has it that it will cost about the same as the current iPhone 8 (€800/£700/$700), use an LCD instead of OLED and will have a single camera on the back. The latest computer generated case images of the upcoming phone sticks to those same criteria, effectively confirming... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/2yMOhQe via IFTTT

Nokia 8 Sirocco, 7 plus and two others to gain face unlock via an update

Image
Face unlock is the new hotness and HMD wants in on the action, so "in the coming months" it will add it to its high-ranking phones with an OTA update. The following models will get it: Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 8, Nokia 7 plus and Nokia 6.1. Considering the hardware present on these phones - or rather the lack thereof - this will be a pure image recognition system. If implemented well it can be convenient, though it doesn't offer much security (unlike biometric methods). Nokia 8 Sirocco • Nokia 8 • Nokia 7 plus • Nokia 6.1 As for the rest of HMD's Nokia lineup, nothing has... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/2Kitokl via IFTTT

New Xiaomi device coming next week

Image
Xiaomi is all set to announce a new product next week. The information comes courtesy of the Chinese company's own virtual assistant Xiao AI, which revealed July 3 as the date of the announcement. Sadly, the assistant doesn't say anything about the star of the event. However, given the fact that Xiaomi just announced a new phone and a tablet today, chances of a completely new handset coming out on July 3 are very slim. Reports point towards new variants of existing devices. Specifically, the company may announce the Mi 6X Hatsune Edition (just like it did for the Redmi Note 4X last... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/2lz5ALa via IFTTT

Huawei Nova 3 teaser reveals design similar to P20 Lite

Image
After releasing the P20 Lite as the Nova 3e in a couple of Asian markets, Huawei has started teasing a new device. Dubbed Nova 3, the handset seemingly has a design similar to the P20 Lite on the rear. Sadly, the teaser image doesn't reveal the front of the device, so it's hard to confirm the presence of notch (although rumors of 19:9 display suggest there should be one). What else the rumors say? The phone codenamed "Paris" is expected to be powered by Kirin 710 SoC, and run Android 8.1 Oreo. It is said to go official in July. Leaked Meizu 16 press image showcases a massive screen

Image
The Meizu 16 is arriving in August, as confirmed by company CEO Jack Wong earlier this month. Now a press image of the phone appeared on Weibo, suggesting a massive screen with curved edges and lack of buttons on the front. There are small bezels on top and bottom, but the device will not have a notch, as we reported earlier. The image suggests the main camera setup will be placed vertically in the center of the back panel and not in the corner, as previously suggested. Although the photo does not reveal any fingerprint scanners, it can be either on the side like the Meizu M6s or... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://ift.tt/2lwZniv via IFTTT
