Razer Phone 2 gets Android Pie next week, Razer Phone 3 may have been canceled

Today Razer has announced that the update to Android 9 Pie is headed to the Razer Phone 2 next week, on February 27 to be precise. That's when it will roll out for unlocked units. If you bought yours from a carrier other than AT&T, expect to see the update pop up later. That rollout will start on March 14. Qualcomm's new X55 modem supports 5G speeds up to 7Gbps, but also LTE

It pushes wireless speeds up to 7Gbps, but more importantly it also supports 4G LTE as well as "legacy" technologies like 3G and 2G. The X55 supports both flavors of 5G, mmWave (high-bandwidth) and sub-6GHz (better coverage). And it works on both TDD and FDD networks so it can be used in devices for the West and for China.
